Once an ordinary young bloke from Brooklyn, Jake took leave of the familiar surroundings of his youth last year in exchange for a "short visit" to New Zealand. Upon arrival down under, Jake quickly found he shared a kindred spirit with the warlike Maori people, and was adopted by Hohepa, the high priest of the Wale-a-tinga tribe. Among his numerous new skills, Jake learned how to carve people's faces with a chisel, and to dance a mean Haka Haka. He also has a brief cameo appearance in the movie Whale Rider. Although joining the Maori was decidedly a 'coming hom' experience for Jake, he ultimately chose to leave his new kinsmen, and sailed home to rejoin his old tribe of E-Men in time for Senior year.
Now he's back to being a good old boy from Brooklyn, albeit with a thick beard to cover the Ta Moko face markings carved into his face. One of the few white men ever to learn the secrets of Maori levitation, Jake can now fly, which makes him a dangerous cutter and virtually unstoppable in the air. Off the field, he has been known to woo more than his fair share of women with naught but a few well-timed guttural grunts. Whether he's cutting for your disc or your woman, it's best to respect Jake, because if he loses, he might just break out a chisel on your face. |
